ISL Earns ISO 9001:2008 QMS Certification & Why It’s Important for a Growing Small Business

After nearly a year of hard work and countless hours, ISL is proud to announce that our Quality Management System is now certified to the requirements of ISO 9001:2008. The certification was a large undertaking that required a significant outlay of company resources. We feel that the many benefits of certifying our company processes to an international standard are well worth the effort.

  1. The certification process requires candidates to take a hard look at their existing business model, honestly assess strengths and weaknesses, and actively create a plan for success.
  2. The ISO 9001:2008 certification allows ISL access to critical new opportunities with potential customers and vendors, who require new partners or vendors to have a Quality Management System certified to ISO’s standards. 
  3. Lastly, and perhaps most important to our core values, ISL’s adherence to the requirements ensures the continual improvement of our Quality Management System and gives further assurances to our customers that ISL provides outstanding products and services that meet or exceed customer and contractual, statutory/regulatory requirements.

We felt that the timing couldn’t have been better to establish and certify a Quality Management System.  The groundwork has been laid for success as we add new employees and customers. Moving forward, the efficient management of our contracts and business operations is essential to create and maintain a market advantage and meet and exceed our customers’ requirements and expectations.

ISL is very proud of this achievement and we look forward to sharing the benefits with both existing and potential customers, vendors, and employees.
